Registrants chose their challenge, raised funds and qualified to go the distance on Sunday 28th October 2012

go the distance is a fundraising and physical challenge open to individuals and families of all ages and abilities to raise funds towards finding better treatments and cures for heart disease and cancer.

Participants - individuals, families and teams - raised a minimum target amount to take part in their choice of three physical disciplines – walk, run or ride - on Sunday 28th October 2012.

Just as there is unity in four charities working together to go the distance to raise $2,000,000 by 2015 for heart and cancer, there is collective power in the participants who pledged to make a difference. Once an individual or family registered, they could elect to join a team to participate with friends or colleagues to raise even more funds.

Participants were encouraged to register and commence fundraising, starting in March 2012, in order to take part in the Sunday 28th October community and family event which started and finished at Barratt Reserve, West Beach, opposite the award winning Adelaide Shores Caravan Park
